In case you missed it-

Portfolio Update:
Over the course of December, my portfolio dropped in value from $216,000 to $205,000.
Outside of big tech, the market took quite a drop.
This was the most my portfolio had ever dropped in a month.
But here is whatβs so interesting about this-
My projected annual dividend income didnβt decrease. It increased.
Regardless of how the market performs, my dividend income continues to rise, due to 3 reasons:
Consistent monthly contributions
Stocks I hold increasing their dividend payouts
Reinvesting dividends
And you know what is really cool?
Reinvesting dividends becomes even more powerful when you do it during a market downturn.
It allows your reinvested dividends to buy more shares, in turn, providing more dividend income.
Not to mention, if your holdings are buying back shares, then a down market allows them to buyback shares at lower prices-
Which as a shareholder, gives you even more ownership.
This is the beauty of dividend investing.
The market can down by 10% in a single month-
But your dividend income can still increase by 10% in that same month.
We donβt have to fear sell offs, we can look forward to them.
In the month of December, my portfolio brought in a record $1,184.27 in dividends.
Here is every single day of dividend payments I had in 2024:
2022 dividends totaled out to $1,289.24.
2023 dividends totaled out to $3,474.97
2024 dividends totaled out to $5,937.74.
The snowball effect is taking place.
If I were to throw all of my portfolio into high yielding stocks, I could easily make over $20,000 in dividends over the next year.
But I know that since Iβm a long term investor, dividend growth will pay me more over the long term.
My average monthly dividend payments now sits at $521.74!
Regardless of where you are in your journey and regardless of how the market performs in 2025-
There is something very motivating about seeing your annual dividend income increase every single month.
