Before we get started-
Like promised, I’m sharing a FREE spreadsheet with details on every Dividend King stock in 2024.
You can access it here. Enjoy! :)
2024 will be a wild year in the political space.
And regardless of how you feel about this year’s candidates, one thing remains true every single election year-
The resurgence of doomsday headlines.
We know what they look like.
“If ‘Candidate A’ wins the election, the stock market is sure to crash!”
“If ‘Candidate B’ wins the election, say goodbye to your 401k!”
But the past 75 years of data tells us a far different story than the panic inducing hysteria that the media gives us.
The reality is that regardless of the political party in the oval office, the stock market has performed very well over long periods of time.
Even trying to guess which stocks to pick based on election results has proven to be much more difficult than most would think.
Whether it’s buying oil stocks when a republican wins, or hemp stocks when a democrat wins, the historical data has told us that these election results don’t have near the impact on stock prices as the media would lead us to believe.
There’s no doubt the market will be volatile during this time. That won’t come as a surprise.
But take it from the greatest investor of all time:
“If you mix politics and investing, you’re making a big mistake.” -Warren Buffett
So do elections have consequences?
Absolutely.
But it won’t impact your portfolio quite as much as the media would lead you to believe.
Continue to buy quality companies, and the power of the American economy will continue to keep your portfolio a compounding machine.
If you missed it..
