The 5 Best Investing Resources 📈 ✅
My 5 favorite tools for keeping up to date with the best financial information
The trick to becoming as successful as possible with your investments is by making the best (AKA most informed) decisions.
In today's internet world, there’s no excuse for not getting that information.
Here are my 5 favorite tools for keeping up to date with the best financial information.
1. Seeking Alpha 🔥
Seeking Alpha is the best source of information out there for investors at all levels of experience.
It’s entirely crowd-sourced from independent contributors.
Here’s what you get:
Access to a wide range of content from independent contributors
The ability to filter content based on your investment style and interest
The ability to follow other investors and see their portfolios (very useful)
Create stock watchlists
Easily research stocks and get insight to dividend metrics
The only downside to Seeking Alpha is also the reason it's so good.
Because its not free, the quality of people active inside is filtered.
Meaning you get the best possible content all the time.
You can get Seeking Alpha here, and if you like it my link will give you a huge discount on the premium membership.
2. Yahoo Finance 💵
Yahoo Finance is a nice free alternative you can use in place of Seeking Alpha.
It has articles, news, and very up-to-date data on stocks.
It’s less diverse than Seeking Alpha though, as all updates are done in-house at Yahoo, whereas Seeking Alpha is crowd-sourced.
3. Dataroma ✏️
Dataroma provides a vast wealth of data on insider trading and hedge fund activities.
It’s useful for seeing if your investing thought patterns and ideas matchup with where the big money is going.
You can also create custom portfolios and track their performance, comparing them with the portfolios of other investors.
I personally use it to track Warren Buffett’s portfolio. Here are his most recent moves:
4. My own spreadsheets 🔬
Over the past 2 and a half years, I’ve carefully curated spreadsheets specifically designed for the purpose of:
Tracking my portfolio
Calculating intrinsic value
Finding out how long it takes to live off dividends
I provide all of these resources on my patreon page, where you can join a community of dividend investors. You can join here!
5. Finviz 🧑💻
Finviz is a website that has a stock screener, news feed, charts, and other cool visuals to help investors make better decisions.
I personally love using the heatmap they provide. And it’s free!
These are the 5 tools I use the most to gather information for my investing!
But now I want to hear from you. Are there any tools like these that you use on a daily basis? Have you used any of these before?
Reply to this email and let me know. If there are any suggestions that I like, I’ll share them in our Dividendology Discord community!
