In the month of September, I made $594.06 in dividend income. This was a HUGE spike up from prior months.
The reason for this was I received my largest dividend payment ever from SCHD. SCHD paid me $417.04!
It was an amazing feeling seeing that massive dividend payment come in. And although the next few months dividend income wonβt be quite as high as this months, Iβm now still averaging $340.40 in dividends every single month!
And my expected yearly dividend income is now over $4,000!
The market took a nosedive on the backend of this month, dropping nearly 4%. For people looking for quick short term gains in the market, this is bad news.
For value dividend investors?
This means opportunity.
I was able to add capital to the following positions:
TXN
V
LOW
O
SBUX
SCHD
VICI
And I added an entirely new position to my portfolio: WM.
This did make my average cost for most of these positions go up a bit, but long term I still believe adding these positions will be beneficial.
The best part about receiving $594 in dividend income?
Reinvesting the dividends.
Even If I didnβt add any capital to my portfolio this month, I still wouldβve had $594 going back into my portfolio.
Not to mention, with the drop in the market, most of my dividends were reinvested at lower prices.
My future portfolio outlook is continuing to climb, which is quite exciting to see!
